The UL Lafayette Panhellenic Council has successfully completed Fall Formal Recruitment with more than 250 women participating. Approximately 200 of them joined one of the five National Panhellenic Conference Sororities.

These women will bring their many talents to the UL Lafayette Greek community and we are excited about the things they will do during their time here at UL Lafayette,小蝌蚪APP said Sigma Sigma Sigma Vice-President Amber Vegas of Cut Off, La.
Recruitment, also known as Rush Week, began Aug. 16 and concluded with Bid Day at the end of the week. Participating freshman and upperclassmen had the opportunity during the week to meet with their chosen sororities. If they were chosen for a sorority, they received a bid and met with officers and other sorority members on Sorority Row.
This well-rounded group of new members represent a array of academic majors and interests, including music, engineering, biology/pre-med, nursing and education.

Throughout the week, these women attended events that allowed them to learn about the various chapters小蝌蚪APP values, community involvement and outreach, as well as Greek life in general. 小蝌蚪APP淭he experience also gave the women a glance at each chapter小蝌蚪APP檚 inner dynamic,小蝌蚪APP said Forson.
小蝌蚪APP In just a few days, I was able to meet lots of wonderful people and engage in many new activities. I cannot wait to see what kinds of great experiences I will have in the next four years,小蝌蚪APP said new Kappa Delta member Jillian Duhon of Jennings.
UL Lafayette Panhellenic Sororities are involved many philanthropy and community service projects such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Prevent Child Abuse America, Children小蝌蚪APP檚 Miracle Network, Faith House of Acadiana and many others. In 2009, Panhellenic Sorority Women donated almost $120,000 and over 8,000 hours in community service.
