���APP�Because of the size of our program, everything is more intimate. Our instructors truly know us and where we want to go. They care about us, break things down to make us better, and they���APP�re really open to helping us."

���APP�I���APP�ve always loved hearing and telling stories. It���APP�s manifested itself in my art, my stand-up comedy, and my love of reading and writing. The creative writing program at UL Lafayette allows me to take my love of stories and turn it into a degree.���APP�

���APP�I decided to change my major to visual arts because the field of the arts gives me more freedom and flexibility to express myself and to communicate my ideas. I believe my imagery is more effective at communicating the issues that I want to address within my community and the world.���APP�

���APP�I always wanted to work with kids. Middle school is such a hard time, and they need qualified teachers.���APP�

���APP�Just looking back on my childhood and things that I was really interested in and passionate about, that led me to electrical engineering. So, I decided to go ahead and pursue a degree in it, and I am still passionate about it to this day.���APP�

���APP�I love how the education program at UL Lafayette provided us with so many different opportunities to get hands-on experience with the local schools. It���APP�s prepared me to eventually have my own classroom by studying veteran teachers.���APP�

���APP�As a student-athlete, I have been granted countless opportunities to learn how to better myself and those around me. From time management to being captain of my team, I have learned so many life skills that I will be able to take with me as I graduate and go into the real world.���APP�

"UL Lafayette pushes us to bring more to the curriculum. The curriculum says to do this, but how can we do more? We want to add to and enhance our lessons. You can���APP�t just read a book about teaching ���APP� you have to get your hands dirty. It���APP�s not an easy career choice, and this program is not easy. It���APP�s worth it, though.���APP�

���APP�My experience in the Cajun & Creole Studies program has given me a sense of self-confidence because, being a Cajun and growing up in the heart of Cajun country, I have a unique experience and knowledge that I can bring to the table, especially in the world of Francophone studies.���APP�
