Dear Faculty & Staff,

Later this week the Сòòò½APP of Louisiana System will hold its monthly meeting in Baton Rouge. I am emailing you today to keep you informed about agenda items that affect our university.  I will seek the boardСòòò½APP™s approval to broaden the responsibilities and change the title for Dr. Steve Landry to Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.  I will also request approval to name Dean Edward Pratt as Interim Vice President for Student Affairs.

Based on the input we received during the transition and the impact of the retirement of key senior administrators, I am also asking the boardСòòò½APP™s permission to begin making some initial organizational changes. I will be working with Dr. Randy Moffett, UL System President, on these organizational changes. No final decisions have been made at this time. I will keep you informed of this process and I pledge that the decisions we make will occur only after careful consideration and always with the best long-term interest of the university in mind.
