March 26, 2009 Сòòò½APP” Campus Clean Up

Dear Faculty & Staff,

Last spring my son, Adam, and I participated in an outstanding campus event.  A group of UL students, led by Chris Groh, organized a Campus Clean Up Day.  I was so pleased that Chris and his fellow students recognized that the appearance of the campus is important when welcoming prospective students and their parents for tours and orientation.  Dozens of students, faculty, staff and alumni turned out on that beautiful Saturday morning, and we pressure washed the Walk of Honor, trimmed unruly banana trees near Guillory Hall, cleaned up Cypress Lake, and spread throughout campus picking up blown paper and other litter.   The event was so successful that a second clean up day is planned for this coming weekend.

The 2009 Campus Clean Up will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  WeСòòò½APP™ll gather in the Quad at 9 a.m.  All youСòòò½APP™ll need to do is wear comfortable clothes suitable for a little manual labor.  Remember to wear a hat and sunscreen.  All work supplies and tools will be provided, but you may wish to bring a pair of gloves.

I hope youСòòò½APP™ll be able to join us on Saturday.  I know you share my pride in being a RaginСòòò½APP™ Cajun and in making our campus as clean as possible.

Thank you,
