���APP�UL Lafayette prides itself on being open to other cultures and communities. I had professors from France, Italy, India, and South Korea. These were important experiences to my development as a young adult and ultimately as a professional.���APP�

���APP�Art is a place for imagination, and I love to live in my imagination. There are a lot of things to love about being an art education major.���APP�

���APP�The medieval and early modern studies minor is cross-disciplinary in nature, covering classes in philosophy, humanities, English, history, theatre, arts, music, and others, which makes this minor exactly what I needed.���APP�

���APP�The best parts about the architecture program were the collaborative studios and the studio culture. My classmates became like family while in school.���APP�

���APP�There were several people I met in class who gave a guest lecture that I ended up working with on a professional level once I entered my career. Having their business card already in my inventory made it easier to bridge those connections later down the road.���APP�

���APP�The idea that I would get to study so intensely the subjects and questions that flooded my mind daily ���APP� how to govern a society, what kinds of governments certain societies favor, how specific policies affect these societies, and the philosophies behind those policies ���APP� I couldn���APP�t wait to enroll and begin my journey with higher education in this department.���APP�

���APP�I���APP�ve always loved hearing and telling stories. It���APP�s manifested itself in my art, my stand-up comedy, and my love of reading and writing. The creative writing program at UL Lafayette allows me to take my love of stories and turn it into a degree.���APP�

���APP�I decided to change my major to visual arts because the field of the arts gives me more freedom and flexibility to express myself and to communicate my ideas. I believe my imagery is more effective at communicating the issues that I want to address within my community and the world.���APP�
